Job Purpose

The Total Rewards Specialist – Payroll is responsible for processing payroll accurately and timely while ensuring compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and labor laws. The role requires handling payroll-related tasks such as calculating wages, managing deductions, resolving payroll discrepancies, and maintaining employee records.

Role and Responsibilities

Payroll Processing & Compliance:

- Process payroll on a [weekly/bi-weekly/monthly] basis for employees.
- Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions (e.g., benefits, taxes)
- Submit payroll taxes and other statutory payments in a timely manner.
- Reconcile payroll-related accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process year-end payroll reports.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, including timekeeping and attendance data.
- Update employee records regarding salary changes, promotions, deductions, and benefits.
- Work with HR teams to manage employee benefits deductions and contributions.
- Process new hires, terminations, and payroll adjustments as needed.
- Conduct payroll audits to identify and resolve errors.
- Generate payroll reports for management, finance, and HR.
- Assist in financial audits by providing payroll documentation and reconciliations.
- Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations.
- Stay updated on payroll regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Education Requirement

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, HR Finance or related field (preferred).- 2-5 years of payroll experience in a corporate or HR setting.- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.- Experience with payroll software (e.g., Oracle HCM, SAP).- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

- Proficiency in Excel and ability to generate payroll reports and reconcile discrepancies.
